Last month was a pretty good results month for me.  I make over15K, and got in decent volume.  This is close to my average month last year, and I'm playing lower stakes.  If I had to guess, I would say my average stake is probably around half of what it was last year.  But like I said yesterday, double the win rate at half the stake may be the way to go.  It keeps the bankroll low and there are fewer precipitous drawdowns.  The big drawdowns on the graph are mostly from NL1000 (the few that run).  It barely even registers when I take a bad beat at NL100.  It becomes a "yawn" moment, and that makes playing poker more relaxing.

I've been very pleased at the volume this month.  Merge software seems a little slower than FT's, so the fact that I got in over 120K hands is pretty good.  I started using a piece of software that really helped me to be more efficient at getting hands in (later post in a few days).

I played some NL4 when I was testing the new software, and I played some NL50 to build up another bankroll, so I had been pretty prudent about keeping a minimal amount of money online.  Surprisingly, I've just been getting my ass beat severely at NL200.  I think it's just been run-bad (just like my NL400+ was run good), but my overall win rate is decent.  I remember a few of the small stakes guys saying they were "running bad" this month so maybe it's something else.  I actually had the feeling a few times this month that some of the regs may have developed minor reads on me in some parts of my game.  When something like this happens, it's always good for the bottom line to mix things up a little.

And I received THREE poker cashouts (all checks) this month - and none of them bounced!  With THREE more on the way: two of them will take another month and I think the other should be here in a week or so.  At this pace, it'll probably take me 2-3 months to cash out of most of my poker money, since I don't plan on play (as much?) any more.  I'll probably take down the poker results (on the right sidebar) some time next month, since I don't want the new readers to say, "what happened to the results from last month?"  There wasn't much to look at anyway, since for most months, I barely played because of the move.

I made much better weight than I thought... 233.1!  (later post)

Funny how I'm blogging as much as before, even tho I said I was only going to blog "once or twice a week."  I guess when you enjoy doing something, it's hard to go cold turkey.  So maybe I squeeze in an extra post or two every week.
